But then everything happens all at once: Düsseldorf, the Beuys entourage, the two friends found an outdoor hippie company, the first disco-ready strobe light is built and premiered in Hamburg’s coolest psychedelic club, euphoric ecstasy, on to the Songtage in Essen, Frank Zappa, Freakout Pentecost, big commissions and the dream of an anti-capitalist operation within capitalism – the business year of 1968/69 is underway …

With precise laconism, Bernd Cailloux shows the 68ers in a glaring but all the more realistic light: not as a political but as a start-up company whose visions, illusions, drug highs and financial lows are unexpectedly reminiscent of the nineties – just as the techno flickering of the nineties echoed the flickershows of the sixties.
