From the Stage to the Screen

It’s 2165, and a disillusioned scientist has tinkered with the DNA of the human race, making it impossible for humans to procreate and imperilling the very survival of human beings as a species. Das ende der menschheit is a biting social commentary couched in a sci-fi setting. First staged as a theatre production by the Staatsschauspiel Dresden in 2017, the film adaptation rights have been acquired by a renowned Berlin arthouse production company.
