Angelika Nußberger

Angelika Nußberger has been Professor of Eastern European and Comparative Law at the University of Cologne since 2002. In 2010, she was elected a judge at the European Court of Human Rights by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and from 2017 to 2019 she was the Court’s Vice-President. After returning to the University of Cologne in 2020, she became the director of the newly founded Academy for European Human Rights Protection.
