Friederike Heimann studied German philology, political science and sociology at the Free University of Berlin. Her focus is on German-Jewish literature; she wrote her doctoral thesis on Gertrud Kolmar. Since 2014, she has been part of the Jüdischer Salon am Grindel in Hamburg. Friederike Heimann lives in Hamburg.
